Program Overview
The Gear Up Now 2026 Christian Youth Program is a structured health and wellness initiative designed for children ages 6–12. Through educational field experiences, wellness activities, mentorship, and interactive learning, participants will strengthen healthy habits, build confidence, develop social skills, and create meaningful memories in a safe and supportive environment.
Intentionally limited to 10 participants for personalized attention.
Faith-Based Foundation
Gear Up Now uses biblical principles to help children develop strong character, make healthy choices, treat others with kindness, and grow into confident and responsible leaders.
Throughout the program, participants will take part in age-appropriate Bible reading, guided discussions, reflection, and prayer. Biblical lessons will be connected to everyday values such as love, respect, honesty, courage, responsibility, perseverance, service, and forgiveness.
Biblical Life Foundations is an essential and inseparable part of the Gear Up Now program. It guides our approach to mentorship, character development, decision-making, relationships, service, and personal growth.

Participants begin the day with introductions, wellness discussions, and an overview of the day's activities.

Participants will read and discuss age-appropriate Bible verses, learn how biblical principles apply to everyday life, and participate in guided prayer and reflection.

Participants visit a local educational destination where they explore science, history, nature, or culture through hands-on learning.

Gear Up Now offers a variety of educational, recreational, faith-based, and community-centered experiences. Activities are scheduled on demand and may vary based on participant interest, program availability, community approval, weather, transportation, and available resources.
Movies and Educational Media
Age-appropriate movies, documentaries, and educational media that encourage positive discussion, creativity, character development, and reflection.
Sports and Physical Activities
Basketball, soccer, fitness activities, outdoor games, team challenges, and other opportunities that promote health, teamwork, discipline, confidence, and good sportsmanship.
Arts and Creative Expression
Arts, crafts, music, dance, storytelling, and creative projects that help children express themselves and develop new interests.
Games and Social Activities
Group games, problem-solving challenges, and recreational activities that strengthen communication, cooperation, friendships, and social skills.

Visits to museums, cultural attractions, community destinations, and other learning environments throughout the Austin area.

Yes. Biblical Life Foundations, based on the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, is a required and inseparable part of the Gear Up Now program. Can my child participate without the faith-based portion?
Gear Up Now is intentionally designed as a Christian youth-development program. Participation in the program is voluntary, but its biblical foundation is not an optional or separate component. Who is eligible to participate?
Eligible participants are children ages 6–12 who reside in a community where the Gear Up Now program has been approved. Participation is subject to program availability, the 10-participant enrollment limit, and completion of all required registration forms, permission forms, and waivers.
What types of activities will be offered?
Activities may include movies, sports, outdoor games, arts and crafts, music, dance, group activities, life-skills lessons, mentorship, educational field experiences, Bible reading, prayer, and Christian character development. Activities are scheduled on demand and will vary based on program availability, participant interest, community approval, transportation, weather, and available resources.
How often does the program meet?
Gear Up Now does not operate on a fixed weekly schedule. Sessions and activities are offered on demand based on participant interest, program availability, community needs, and educational opportunities. Families will receive information in advance when activities are scheduled.

Are parent permission forms required?
Yes. Signed permission forms and required waivers must be completed before participation.
